Overview
Osmo Polyx Hard Wax Oil Anti-Slip is a clear finish for interior wooden floors and areas for which higher slip resistance is required. The use of natural oils and waxes make your wood stain resistant, water repellent, and abrasion resistant without cracking, peeling, or flaking. Along with easy application and no need for primer this really is the go-to product for wooden floors and furniture.

Preparation
Always ensure the surface is clean and free from dust, grease and frost.
- Clean old microporous stains (wood oils).
- Old paints and lacquers must be completely removed this can be done by sanding back or using a suitable chemical stripper.
- Fill any cracks with an appropriate wood filler, for larger joints and holes use .
- Sand the surface carefully, starting with coarse sandpaper and finish fine grade, for flooring 120-150.
- Before application ensure all dust has been removed.
Application
Always test a small area of the surface to be treated before application to ensure you are happy with the finished look.
- Stir well before use.
- Osmo Polyx Oil is ready to use and does not require thinning.
- Use a , floor brush or microfibre roller.
- Apply thinly working in the direction of the wood grain and spread well.
- Allow to dry for 8-10 hours under good ventilation.
- After drying quickly apply a second coat.
- If re-coating one coat should be sufficient.
Note: Always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.
Aftercare & Storage
Cleaning
Wood surfaces treated with Osmo Polyx-Oil Express are highly repellent and easy to maintain. Keep clean by using a broom or vacuum cleaner, damp mop floors using diluted . Always avoid over saturating the surface with water as this may cause damage. For furniture or small areas use .
Maintenance
For occasional refreshing use . Alternatively, Osmo Maintenance Oils can be used to occasionally refresh most Osmo Polyx Oil sheen levels. Ensure surfaces are appropriately cleaned before thinly applying .
Recoating
Simply re-apply one coat onto the appropriately cleaned and dried surface when signs of wear become visible.
Note: Using general or multi-purpose cleaners will increase the frequency of maintenance and recoating. Allow finish to fully cure before heavy usage.
